PyramidTech was founded in 2001. We specialize in the design, verification, hardware validation, and prototyping of FPGA, ASIC, and SoC devices, as well as embedded software development.
Our projects span cutting-edge technology areas including 3G/4G/5G communications, image and video processing, smart grids, medical devices, automotive systems, and the control and communications of aircraft and spacecraft.
We also specialize in safety-critical FPGA and ASIC design and verification, supporting DO-254 for airborne electronic hardware and ISO 26262 for automotive functional safety, with requirements-based development, traceability, verification, and certification-ready documentation.

Ahmed Abou-Auf, Ph.D.
President and Chief Engineer
Dr. Abou-Auf founded PyramidTech in 2001. He has been working in the design and verification of SoC/ASIC/FPGA since 1996.
He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD in 1993. He earned both his MS and BS degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alexandria, Egypt in 1986 and 1983 respectively
