Russell Tobin's client is hiring a Video Editor in Sunnyvale, CA

Employment Type: Contract

Location: Onsite - Sunnyvale, CA 94085

Pay rate: $50-$55/hr

Responsibilities:

• Edit corporate and support videos for internal use, focused on products and processes.
• Work within a multi-editor team, following established workflows and asset management systems.
• Take and implement creative direction from post-production leads, engineers, and non-creative stakeholders.
• Use Adobe transcription and captioning tools with strong fluency.
• Source music, perform sound treatments, and execute basic sound mixing.
• Record scratch audio and execute proxy-based remote editing workflows.
• Perform color correction and grading using Adobe Lumetri.
• Assist with localization needs, recutting, and language adaptation when required.

Requirements:

• 5–6 years of professional video editing experience.
• Proven track record of editing in similar environments (corporate, educational, tech-focused content).
• Ability to meet deadlines and take direction with flexibility and creativity.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and either Adobe Audition or Apple Logic.
• Experience working in corporate and technical content environments
• Familiarity with localization workflows and multilingual content.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and self-sufficient in remote collaboration settings.
