Senior Family Law Attorney - Hybrid in Houston, TX Join our team at Kimbrough Legal, PLLC, as we expand our roster with the addition of a Senior Attorney to our thriving and growing family law firm. We're seeking an experienced licensed family law attorney with a successful background in family law litigation and trials to advocate for clients and provide guidance toward achieving their case objectives and achieving peace for their families. Responsibilities:
  • Attend court hearings, conduct legal research, and offer legal advice
  • Lead and manage family law cases from inception to resolution, ensuring each client receives personalized and compassionate legal counsel
  • Collaborate with our dedicated team to develop strategic case plans that align with clients' goals and uphold our firm's values
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations, advocating for their best interests with professionalism and integrity
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in family law to provide clients with up-to-date advice and innovative solutions
  • Prepare and review legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Bill a minimum of 130 hours/month
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Texas Bar
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience handling family law cases and litigation in the state of Texas, preferably in the Houston, TX area
  • Ability to travel 10-15%
  • High tech proficiency, experience in a paperless environment, and comfort working remotely
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize, multitask, manage time, problem-solve, produce results, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with MyCase or similar case management software/platform
  • Interest in and ability to mentor other attorneys
  • Professional, friendly, courteous, positive, collaborative, and client-centric spirit that embraces diversity and inclusion
  • Experience in family law litigation and trials, demonstrating a deep understanding of the complexities involved
  • Ability to manage and lead family law cases from start to finish, ensuring personalized and compassionate counsel
  • Proven track record of representing clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations with professionalism and integrity
  • Commitment to billing a minimum of 130 hours per month, maintaining a high standard of client service
