Job Title: Technical Writer

Location: Burbank, CA (Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite)

Type: Contract

About the Role:
We're looking for a skilled Technical Writer to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate has a passion for turning complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content. You'll collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts to create documentation that helps internal teams, customers, or end-users better understand our products and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain technical documentation including user manuals, API documentation, FAQs, knowledge base articles, and product guides.

• Translate technical information into engaging and easy-to-understand content for various audiences.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, customer support, and marketing teams to gather and clarify complex information.

• Create content for both internal and external users, including onboarding materials, training guides, and release notes.

• Organize documentation logically using tools like Confluence, Notion, or Markdown-based systems.

• Adhere to documentation style guides and contribute to developing content standards.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a tech-forward environment.

• Proven ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable.

• Familiarity with tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or documentation tools like Git, JIRA, and Confluence.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience writing API or SDK documentation.

• Background in software engineering or IT.

• Familiarity with HTML/CSS, XML, or Markdown.

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git/GitHub).
