CDL-A OTR Driver – Straight Truck
Newark, NJ | Onsite | $25–$30/hr
We’re looking for a reliable and experienced CDL-A Driver to join our team and run regional over-the-road (OTR) deliveries throughout the Northeast. If you’re safety-focused, skilled behind the wheel, and comfortable with long routes, this is a great opportunity for consistent, year-round work.
What You’ll Do
- Safely operate a 24–26 ft straight truck on scheduled OTR routes
- Load and unload deliveries at various locations
- Inspect your vehicle before trips and handle basic maintenance
- Plan routes and deliver goods on time
- Accurately log hours, miles, fuel, tolls, and delivery paperwork
- Follow all DOT rules and company policies
- Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or delays
- Take on other tasks as needed
Who You Are
- Have a valid CDL-A license with H endorsement
- 2+ years of experience driving straight trucks
- Clean driving record for the past 3 years
- Able to pass a drug screen, background check, and road test
- Hold a current DOT medical card (or can obtain one)
- Comfortable driving long distances and adapting to traffic/weather conditions
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Day shift with overtime available
- Routes include : Virginia, Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut
- Year-round work with steady hours
