Primary Focus:

The Senior Sales Representative’s role is key to the success of existing customer relationships and the development of new relationships and business opportunities. They are a well-organized individual who possesses excellent communication skills and is eager to meet and exceed company set goals. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Sales and will be a vital member of new business development.

Overall, they’ll be a key member of ensuring future sales growth for Metro Environmental Services and be expected to work seamlessly with their team and cross-functional teams. They should be focused on generating new business, expanding market share and building new revenue pipelines. They’ll be responsible for providing tailored solutions that meet each client's needs using their knowledge of the company’s offerings and value propositions. Leveraging technology to streamline their workflows and to simultaneously manage several projects is a consistent part of their strategy. What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Achieve individual annual sales goals established by MES leadership team by expanding current relationships and establishing new ones with industry professionals that lead to new business opportunities.
  • Using cold calls, networking and relationship referrals to generate sales opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Estimating Department to assist in preparation of bids and proposals. i.e. inspect, scope, and photograph prospective projects.
  • Participate in estimating meetings, conference calls to help ensure client bids are consistent, thorough, and well written.
  • Track and follow up on all pending bids and estimates with customers.
  • Assist with marketing and sales strategy (i.e. trade shows, advertising, etc.) to develop exceptional name recognition within our industry
  • Actively participate in monthly sales meetings, sharing opinions, feedback and potential bottlenecks.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM system to maintain accurate records and ensuring all activities, opportunities and communications are well-documented.
  • Assist in developing annual budgeted sales and support the finance department with collections.
  • Adept at educating clients on Metro Environmental Services offerings while addressing client pain points.
  • Accountable for reviewing their sales metrics to ensure performance and sales goals are being met.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • At least three (3) years of sales experience in construction, environmental, or a similar industry.
  • Will thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment with high expectations and defined outcomes.
  • Is a strong communicator who can manage inside and outside of the organization and readily collaborate to navigate complex issues as it relates to sales.
  • Possess outstanding communication, presentation and time-management skills.
  • Is a self-starter who is willing to travel within the Northeast as needed.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Sales Software/platforms is preferred.
  • Ability to learn about and use acquired industry knowledge to facilitate relationship and sales growth.
