Job Description

JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE :
Works under the direction of the production supervisor to provide support and leadership on all or part of an assigned packaging line.
Work schedule is Monday through Friday 6am to 2:30pm

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Provides entry level support to the production lines.
• Provides production line employees and temporary employees with instruction on how to complete their assigned tasks
• Communicates issues and problems to a Supervisor
• Ensure compliance of line personnel with GMP’s , SOP’s, and proper safety measures.
• Assign tasks and ensure completion of assignments
• Follows all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding.
• Must follow all batch recordkeeping procedures.
• Works on various types of equipment to carry out a particular phase of the production cycle.
• Must produce product within required tolerances.
• Follows directions and produces required quality of product.
• Follows all GMP, SOP and safety rules regarding production line support.
• Any other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent plus 1-2 years’ work experience in production with nutraceutical or pharmaceutical environment preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to keep proprietary information confidential is crucial to this position. Long hours, rotating shifts, and weekends may be required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is a manufacturing environment which may include loud noise levels for extended periods of time, long hours standing, sitting, bending, twisting, walking, climbing stairs, strong odors, lifting up to 50 lbs, confined spaces, warm and cold temperatures, wet/slippery and slick surface environment.  The employee is regularly required to talk or hear and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
