Schedule: 4x10s or 5x8s | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Pay Rate: $50 – $53/hour
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Surgical Assistant to provide intraoperative support under direct surgeon supervision, ensuring safe, efficient surgical procedures and high-quality patient care.
Assist with patient positioning and identification of anatomy
Maintain operative site visualization (retractors, suction, irrigation, sponging, tissue and suture manipulation)
Assist with hemostasis and wound closure (subcutaneous, subcuticular, sutures, staples)
Administer local anesthetic as directed postoperatively
Apply and manage wound dressings and secure drainage systems
Independently assist with harvesting veins, radial artery, tendons, bone, skin, and plastic closures when required
Provide expert assistance in major surgical cases
Stay current with new surgical technologies and techniques
Strong knowledge of anatomy/physiology, excellent manual dexterity, and ability to stand for extended periods
Education: Associate’s Degree in Surgical Assisting or completion of an accredited Surgical Assisting program
Experience (Preferred): 4+ years general experience with 2+ years in a specialty
Certification (Required): BLS (AHA)
Certifications (Preferred): NSAA, CFA (AST), NCCPA (AAPA), or RNFA (NASC)
