Department: Emergency Department (Level 1 Trauma + Freestanding ED)

Reports To: Director and senior management

Pay & Schedule

• Salary Range: $64,000-103,000
• Hours: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• On-Call: Yes, manager is expected to be on call at all times
• Weekends: No weekend shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations in the Emergency Department’s patient access functions.
• Develop goals, manage performance, and drive process improvements.
• Directly manage a team of 30 (including team leads); responsible for hiring, scheduling, coaching, and discipline.
• Oversee financial responsibilities including site accounts receivable, payroll/timekeeping, and departmental budgeting.
• Ensure excellent customer service by resolving escalated patient concerns.
• Implement and monitor compliance with policies, safety protocols, and Joint Commission standards.
• Serve as a liaison between departments and leadership—collaborate across all Orlando Health facilities.
• Participate in strategic planning, project management, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's in Business, Healthcare Administration, or Finance — OR equivalent healthcare experience (1:1 offset).
• Experience:
• Minimum 4 years in Patient Access
• At least 1 year in a team lead or supervisory role
• Preferred: Experience in an Emergency Department setting
