Iowa Public Radio is searching for an enthusiastic and creative person to join our team in Iowa City as a
Morning Show Host and Producer for our Studio One stream. The Morning Show Host and Producer supports the attainment of our music audience growth goals through their on-air hosting of the morning show and their digital content creation work. This position will inspire, entertain, and strengthen our audience community through unique and diverse music discovery programming. In order to fulfill this objective, the Morning Show Host and Producer is responsible for the daily production and presentation of Iowa Public Radio's Studio One morning show, including managing technical and administrative aspects of the show and providing creative content for programming and content initiatives as assigned. This position maintains a thorough understanding of Studio One's mission and plays a key role in bringing new music and innovative programming to listeners of the Morning Show and station.
Additionally, the Morning Show Host and Producer will work collaboratively with the Music Director and Digital Music Producer to conduct interviews with musicians and nonprofit organizations throughout Iowa, creating content both for air and digital creation and publication purposes.

ANTICIPATED HIRING RANGE : $43,000 - $55,000
Minimum Qualifications - 3 – 5 years of experience in a professional radio environment.
- Experience with digital audio workstations.
- A valid state-issued driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications - 5 years of On-air morning show experience in a broadcasting market rank 100 or above
- Experience in a public radio or public broadcasting environment with an understanding of public media and the public media music audience.
- Extensive knowledge of music.
- Experience with Adobe Audition/Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. Strong writing skills.
