Edge Industrial Staffing is currently looking for Maintenance Technicians for a local client in the

Fort Mill, SC area.

$30-$40/HR based on Experience

Days and Nights

Summary of Position

A Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairing production equipment as required while working with the senior members of the team to complete electrical and mechanical projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform preventative/predictive maintenance to all production equipment as required.
• Work side-by-side with experienced technicians during equipment repair and learn smart/safe work practices.
• Complete small electrical and mechanical projects based on direction given from Team Lead/ Supervisor
• Demonstrate safe work practices and follow company safety policies, procedures, and regulations at all times.
• Ensure compliance of all Company policies
• Maintain personal compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and recommend measures to improve health and safety.
• Work within a team environment and interact with all areas of production effectively.
• Repair and replace electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic and electronic components such as motors, contactors, relays, timers, types of switches, PLCs, light curtains, motor controls, and valves under the direction of the Team Lead/ Supervisor
• Recognize and diagnose faults in electrical equipment or systems, which may involve complex interlocking, interrelated circuits, integrated systems, and complex sequencing.
• Examine, install, replace, and repair electronic wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.

Qualifications

• Troubleshooting experience with electrical & mechanical equipment, PLC systems, Robots, AC drives, DC drives, servo drives, motion control, HMI interface, motor controls, safety sensors, and relays
• Able to read wiring diagrams, electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics and ladder/function block logic
• Theoretical knowledge of industrial PCs and PLCs (Siemens Step 7, Beckhoff Twin Cat, etc.) and electric circuitry consisting of contractors, relays, main voltage/control voltage, limit switches, and proximity sensors
• Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Systems (CMMS) an asset

Education and/or Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience with strong problem-solving skills

Preferred:

• At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment with multiple priorities
• A certificate from technical trade school, Military experience in lieu of or related subject
