The position is for an Entry-Level Industrial Hygienist , where you will play a vital role in shaping a culture of health and safety in research, development, and manufacturing environments.

This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional eager to gain hands-on experience in industrial hygiene and environmental health within a cutting-edge biotech/pharma setting. Following the contract within the biotech facility, the position will transfer into a full-time consulting role with SafeBridge Consultants services a wide variety of Clients with a focus on potent compound handling.

💼 Key Responsibilities

As part of the EHS team, you will:

• Perform industrial hygiene exposure assessments and monitoring in pharmaceutical labs, pilot plants, and manufacturing areas—including evaluation of exposure to active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), chemicals, noise, and other occupational hazards.
• Prepare and communicate sampling strategies tailored to specific operations and risk profiles.
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain IH monitoring equipment, such as air sampling pumps, sound level meters, and direct-reading instruments.
• Ensure proper chain-of-custody documentation and timely sample submission to accredited laboratories for analysis.
• Interpret analytical results and contribute to the development of industrial hygiene reports, including recommendations for exposure control.
• Conduct routine EHS site inspections to identify hazards, support compliance, and promote continuous improvement.
• Assist with the implementation of EHS programs and SOPs, including chemical hygiene, PPE use, respiratory protection, and hazardous communication.
• Support the design and delivery of EHS training programs to promote awareness and safe work practices across the site.

🎓 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene , Occupational Safety , Environmental Health , Public Health , or a related science/engineering discipline.
• Internship, academic, or hands-on experience with IH monitoring or lab safety preferred.
• Familiarity with applicable regulations and guidelines (e.g., OSHA, NIOSH, ACGIH).
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions.
