Job Description

Our client, a well-known fashion brand, is searching for an Apparel Designer to elevate their girls line. You must have experience with CAD, prints, apparel graphics. This role is temporary with the intention to convert to permanent.

Pay is DOE - they are open to Assistant level as well.

Responsibilities:

• Create and design various materials for digital and print - focusing on graphics & print repeats for girl's apparel
• Select colors, fonts, images, and layouts
• Ensure projects are completed in a timely manner with a quality product
• Collaborate with fellow designers to develop new approaches for creating graphics
• Work with a wide range of media and graphic design software
• Establish creative direction for the company within brand guidelines
• Support multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions
• Determine voice and messaging for graphic design pieces
• Create visualizations that convey accurate messaging for the project
• Coordinate and unify creative execution of product
• Support creative and technical development of product within merchandise assortment strategy
• Research seasonal trends, themes, color, raw materials, and styling
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Production, and Technical Design to achieve product execution and maintain design integrity
• Create design card tech packs
• Approval of lab dips and fabric/yarn submits

Requirements:

• 2-3+ years of design experience & relevant portfolio
• High taste level and creative ability
• Knowledge of seasonal silhouette and color trends
• Strong illustration/presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Detail oriented, good follow through
• Strong organizational, communication, and written skills
• Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and Excel
• Skilled with PLM system
• BA Fashion Design
