Guerra Wealth Advisors is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Planning Advisor specializing in personal and business tax strategies. This role focuses on creating comprehensive tax plans that align with our clients' financial goals.The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in tax law, tax-saving strategies, and tax compliance for individuals and businesses. Tax preparation documentation will not be required.

Offering a competitive pay range from $90,000 to $150,000 annually!

Responsibilities

• Implement strategies such as Roth conversions, capital gains tax planning, and tax loss harvesting to minimize tax liabilities.
• Advise clients on charitable giving, healthcare tax deduction plans, and maximizing standard deductions.
• Guide clients in shifting assets to tax-favored accounts (tax-deferred, taxable, tax-free).
• Offer advanced strategies for real estate transactions, rental property depreciation, business sales, and structuring employer retirement accounts for tax benefits.
• Implement strategies like Backdoor Roths, 401(k) NUA tax reduction plans, and reasonable compensation analysis for business owners.
• Provide expertise in complex tax strategies such as QBI deduction, §179 deductions, home office deductions, and employing family members for tax advantages, tax loss harvesting, and 1031 exchanges..
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations and reviewing tax documents.
• Provide ongoing tax guidance and proactive planning for mid/high-net-worth individuals ($1M+), business owners, and families, including succession planning.

Experience

• Years of Experience: 4+ years of experience in tax planning or accounting, with a focus on personal and business taxes.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Masters Degree preferred).
• Licenses: Tax Professional Certifications required (Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Enrolled Agent (EA) preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in learning tax planning softwares and advanced Excel skills
• Languages: Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Client-facing Experience: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to advise clients directly.
• Attention to detail and accuracy 
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and trust with clients
• Must be a go-getter, team-player, and hungry for knowledge and growth!
• Tech-savvy with the ability and willingness to learn new systems, softwares and processes
