Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent with a background in water utility infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will serve as the key on-site leader, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with all quality standards and regulations. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily on-site construction activities, ensuring efficient management of crews, subcontractors, and field personnel
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to align on project scope, schedule, and resource allocation
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, managing short-term and long-term timelines
  • Enforce all safety regulations and protocols in accordance with local, state, and federal standards
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to quality and compliance requirements
  • Manage procurement and delivery of materials and equipment in collaboration with the project manager
  • Maintain comprehensive site documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and incident records
  • Lead regular on-site meetings and safety briefings with all personnel
  • Resolve on-site issues promptly to prevent delays and maintain project momentum
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and secure job site at all times

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of superintendent experience in utility or civil infrastructure construction (preferably in water/wastewater systems)
  • Proven leadership experience managing diverse teams and subcontractors on active job sites
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, utility installation procedures, building codes, and safety regulations
  • Excellent communication skills for interfacing with internal teams, clients, vendors, and inspectors
  • Proficiency in scheduling and construction management tools
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project documents, and technical specifications
  • OSHA certification preferred
