Responsibilities:

Decontaminate, inspect, and assemble surgical instruments and trays.
Operate sterilizers, washers, and other processing equipment according to protocols.
Verify functionality and cleanliness of instruments before packaging.
Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and equipment maintenance.
Prepare and label sterile supplies and ensure proper storage.
Follow infection control and safety guidelines to prevent contamination.
Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to meet instrument and supply needs.
Report damaged or missing instruments promptly.
Participate in quality assurance activities and equipment monitoring.

Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Sterile Processing or Central Service Technician program preferred.
Certification (CRCST, CBSPD, or equivalent) preferred or required per facility policy.
Previous experience in sterile processing or healthcare setting desirable.
