Position Overview:

Onward Search is excited to partner with a school in Adams County, CO, to find a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher for a full-time, in-person role. This meaningful position starts at the end of January and extends through the remainder of the school year, offering the chance to make a significant impact on students' lives.

Details You Should Know:

• Location: In-person only (no hybrid or virtual options)
• Schedule: Tuesday-Friday, 4-day school week (Monday off), 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 34 hours/week
• Caseload: 10 students with the support of 4 paraprofessionals; Center-Based Program for students with intellectual or multiple disabilities. This program focuses on building academic, communication, social, and life skills.
• Student Age/Grade Level: 9th grade – age 21

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction tailored to meet individual student needs in a Center-Based Program.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, families, and school staff to ensure student success.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support students' academic and developmental growth.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Use evidence-based strategies to enhance communication, social, and life skills.

Qualifications:

• Active Special Education Teacher license in Colorado.
• MPI (Mandt, CPI, etc.) training preferred but not required.
