Job Description

We're hiring a social media manager to run several accounts for our company This is Definitely Real, which will be used to promote our interactive online flashmob about disinformation and tribalism.

The content will be fun, serious, and engaging, and aimed at a Gen-Z audience — gamers, Reddit, 4chan, pop news, etc. We'll share news events and happenings and create some playful fake news of our own.

Themes will include deepfakes, misinformation, fake news, political tribes, online beefs, how we can protect ourselves online, and how we can get along better.

Activities:

• Trend Tracking
• Managing a content calendar
• Social Media Analytics (we will be testing different content strategies)
• Influencer Identification and Outreach
• Brainstorming & testing different types of content, different target demographics, and different platforms (Instagram, Reddit, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook)
• Engaging in online discussions and forums across political divides

Nice to have:

• GenAI content creation experience
• Photoshop, Canva skills
• Video editing
