Social Media Manager

Location: Chicago, IL

Reports to: Account Manager

Type: Part-Time (25–35 hours/week) with Opportunity for Full-Time

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Social Media Manager who lives and breathes content, creativity, and culture. This person will manage the day-to-day social media operations across 7–10 brands, playing a key role in shaping brand voice, maintaining consistency, and driving engagement across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.

The ideal candidate is highly creative, deeply understands audiences and consumer trends, is detail-obsessed, and loves social media. This person should have an eye for aesthetics, a strong sense of brand design, and a naturally outgoing, bubbly personality that translates into dynamic digital storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute daily posting across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn for 7–10 brands.
  • Create and maintain detailed content calendars that align with brand objectives, seasonal trends, and marketing campaigns.
  • Write engaging and on-brand social media copy across all platforms.
  • Collaborate with account managers and production team to ensure brand standards, editing guidelines, and production consistency are met.
  • Handle minimal graphic design needs for social media (Canva or Adobe Suite preferred).
  • Schedule and organize all content using scheduling platforms (Later, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc.).
  • Stay on top of social media trends, platform updates, and viral content opportunities.
  • Provide creative input for campaigns, visual direction, and content series ideas.
  • Monitor post performance, audience growth, and community engagement.
  • Contribute to overall brand storytelling and audience growth strategies.

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience managing social media for brands, ideally within an agency or marketing environment.
  • A strong understanding of brand voice, aesthetics, and digital storytelling.
  • Proficient in social media management tools and scheduling platforms.
  • Strong creative writing and basic graphic design skills (experience with Google Suite, Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator a plus).
  • Deep understanding of consumer behavior, audience engagement, and emerging social media trends.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple brands simultaneously without missing a beat.
  • Bubbly, outgoing, and comfortable bringing energy and ideas to the team.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume content environment.
