Job Description

The purpose of the Show & Events Manager will work with events, festivals, home shows, businesses and fairs located in and around the Central Pennsylvania area to obtain an opportunity (booth) for prospective customers to learn more about our products and to set appointments for our design team to visit the customer in their home and discuss window and patio door replacement.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Research, register and coordinate logistics for events to reach lead generation goals in assigned territory
  • Employee Management: Recruiting, hiring, training and managing event specialists, team leads and showroom staff.
  • Scheduling, payroll, continuous training and onboarding. Organizing and conducting regular staff meetings.
  • Ability to plan, develop and motivate an event marketing staff. Setting sound objectives, developing and executing measurement tools and providing feedback effectively
  • Logistical Management: Delivery/set up/breaking down and transporting promotional event equipment as required. Keeping warehouse organized and helping prepare event set ups.
  • Budget Management: Tracks expenses, manage budget to ensure maximum ROI and Approve Event expenses
  • Executes promotions and records event statistics
  • Develops events and in-house promotions
  • Approach and engage with home-improvement seekers at tradeshows, conventions, festivals, and fairs
  • Schedule in-home estimates and monitor event appointment logistics
  • Determine and set monthly, quarterly, and annual goals in partnership with Regional Event Manager and corporate marketing team
  • Create a positive culture by encouraging event demonstrators and celebrating success.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • 3+ years' experience of management/leadership required; events management experience preferred
  • Manage and direct staff including recruitment, selection, and development to achieve goals and objectives
  • High School Diploma required, Degree preferred in Business, Communications, or related field
  • Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and easily shift focus in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven negotiation skills, self-motivated and competitive spirit
  • Ability to effectively present information to customers in one-on-one, small, and large group settings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong Customer Service and quality orientation
  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation. Valid Driver's License Required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work weekends, this is a management role, but working at events along with the team is expected
  • Ability to stand for up to 8-10 hours
  • Knowledge in the home improvement industry strongly preferred

COMPENSATION BASE PLUS BONUS POTENTIAL. BONUSES ARE PERFORMANCE BASED.
