Job Summary:
This role is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, safety compliance, and seamless coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The Senior Warehouse Manager will lead a team to optimize warehouse processes, reduce operational costs, and maintain high standards of accuracy and productivity.
Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations Management:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations across company-owned and third-party warehouses, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Implement and monitor KPIs to measure warehouse performance and efficiency.
Inventory Control:
- Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation.
- Optimize space utilization and layout design to improve workflow and reduce handling costs.
- Coordinate with procurement and demanded planning teams to align inventory levels with demand forecasts.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, train, and mentor warehouse staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies.
- Schedule shifts, assign tasks, and monitor productivity to meet operational goals.
- Foster a collaborative and safety-conscious work culture.
Process Optimization:
- Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Implement automation tools or warehouse management systems (WMS) to streamline operations.
- Analyze data to identify trends and propose actionable improvements.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Liaise with external partners (e.g., carriers, suppliers) to resolve shipping delays or quality issues.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on warehouse performance and challenges.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, DOT).
- Develop contingency plans for disruptions in supply chain or warehouse operations.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive experience in warehouse management, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale warehouse operations and teams.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Hands-on experience with warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and high-reach forklifts (valid certification required).
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Knowledge of lean management principles and process improvement methodologies.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
