The Sr Global Account Director is responsible for every aspect of the account overall business for Delta including customer relationship management at every level of the organization, specification rationalization, and ensuring Delta is adapting to a rapidly shifting customer strategy. Primary responsibility: revenue growth. Manage a global team to effectively deploy resources as appropriate to ensure customer satisfaction & on-time delivery/shipment to meet revenue expectations as ONE Delta.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of sales professionals to exceed customer expectations and achieve profitable portfolio growth each year, in collaboration with BU/BG leadership, R&D, Procurement, Product/Project Management, Operations, and Field Service Engineering team.
- Develop, mentor and coach new employees and mid-level managers to ensure strategy aligns with overall account goals; responsible for developing/mentoring/training Delta’s next-generation leadership.
- Secure new business by targeting key accounts and developing innovative solutions that add value for customers and displace competitors.
- Utilize CSKA resources to ensure factories/BU’s/BG’s/Regions receive Global Account’s expectations clearly and are prepared to address
- Manage Seattle office including supplies, additional equipment for lab, setup of showroom together with Marcomm team, and direct/instruct teams on setup/planning of “Delta Days” events with Global Key Account and BU/BG teams
- Develop close relationships with key executives and other relevant decision-makers at global account.
- Uncover and pursue opportunities for every Delta BU/BG insideGlobal Key Account, close business to ensure every possible BU/BG in Delta has business with global account
- Closely work with regional Service teams and ensure CSKA PJM’s are on-site for infrastructure projects, serve as escalation path for on-site issues
- Ability to triage day-to-day responsibilities and delegate to appropriate team members as necessary; prioritize revenue growth
- Organizational and time management skills are critical in the role, hourly shift in priorities
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications
- 10+ years of sales experience with extensive knowledge in the Data Center Solutions vertical.
- Strong strategic planning capabilities.
- Proven track record of providing custom solutions based on delivering value.
- Up to 50% travel may be necessary.
- Exceptional communication skills across all geographies (this is a global team/global customer) and ability to build relationships across multiple cultures & geographies
- Ability to speak Mandarin considered tremendous advantage in this key position
Work Experience
- 5+ years of successful supervisory/management experience required to motivate and develop direct reports and identify new talent.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and diplomacy skills are required.
- Experienced in providing leadership to others regarding work-related systems, processes, and challenges.
- Experience interpreting strategy and policy to set and deliver objectives.
- Experience with CRM systems is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong planning and organizational skills are required
Educational Background
BS required. MBA and MS in engineering is a plus.
Sales Revenue Responsibilities
- Responsible for achieving annual sales revenue of $900M+ for the Senior Global Account Director.
