Job Description
We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join a remote team, providing vital therapy services to K-12 students in New Mexico. Key Responsibilities:
Provide remote occupational therapy services, including conducting evaluations, delivering interventions, and monitoring student progress.
Develop and implement personalized therapy plans to address each student's specific needs and goals.
Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to seamlessly integrate therapy goals into the students' educational and daily routines.
Utilize teletherapy platforms to conduct therapy sessions, ensuring effective and engaging interaction with students.
Continuously assess student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
Maintain accurate, confidential records of therapy sessions, student progress, and treatment outcomes.
Offer advice and strategies to teachers and parents to support the student's functional abilities and participation in everyday activities.
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest practices and advancements in occupational therapy.
Qualifications:
A Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy (OT).
Valid Occupational Therapy license in New Mexico.
At least 2 years of experience providing occupational therapy in K-12 educational settings (virtual experience is a plus).
Strong understanding of K-12 education processes and best practices in therapy.
Excellent communication and organizational skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
A reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional home office setup.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
