JOB SUMMARY:
Provides professional nursing care through the assessment, treatment, and education of patients in accordance with physicians treatment plans. Average 3:1 nurse to patient ratio. Unless high acuity patient (IABP), then may got to 1:1 or 2:1, as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:Associates degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE: Critical Care preferred
LICENSES, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: Registered Nurse. BLS certification within 90 days of hire required. ICU/CVU/Observation Unit: ACLS certification within 1 year of hire required.
EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, WORK AIDS: Patient therapeutic equipment/machines or their reasonable accommodation.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Knowledge of appropriate patient population growth and development.
SCHEDULE: PRN “varies as needed”
