This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Quality Improvement Specialist in North Carolina.

This role is designed for a detail-oriented professional passionate about enhancing organizational performance through data-driven process improvement. The Quality Improvement Specialist will lead multiple projects aimed at optimizing clinical and operational workflows, applying Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality methodologies to drive measurable outcomes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, identify performance gaps, and implement sustainable interventions to improve efficiency and effectiveness. This position offers an opportunity to influence organizational strategies, train stakeholders, and contribute to high-impact improvements that affect both operational excellence and customer satisfaction. The role is fully remote within North Carolina, with occasional travel for onsite meetings.

Accountabilities:

• Lead and manage organization-wide improvement projects, coordinating cross-functional teams and resources to achieve project goals
• Conduct root cause analyses and process mapping exercises to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies to design and implement effective interventions
• Develop, monitor, and evaluate performance metrics to track the effectiveness of improvement initiatives
• Prepare and present project reports, data analyses, and recommendations to internal stakeholders and executive leadership
• Train and support staff to sustain improvements and maintain long-term monitoring of performance outcomes
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards while promoting efficient resource utilization

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in leading large-scale quality improvement initiatives, or Master’s degree with 3+ years of similar experience
• Certification in Lean and/or Six Sigma Black Belt (required within 18 months of employment)
• Strong expertise in project management, data collection, and statistical analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of NCQA, HEDIS, and Medicaid standards and experience applying them in quality improvement projects
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently with minimal supervision
