Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team in Elk Grove Village. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead our Quality Assurance and Sanitation functions, ensuring that all products meet strict regulatory standards and customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee food safety, quality, and sanitation performance within the facility.
• Develop and implement food safety and regulatory programs, including the internal recall program.
• Serve as the primary contact for food safety and quality with regulatory officials and customers.
• Guide the facility through customer and regulatory audits, ensuring compliance and managing corrective actions.
• Act as the HACCP Coordinator, maintaining and reassessing HACCP and PC Plans as necessary.
• Train and develop QA and sanitation staff to ensure compliance with testing standards.
• Prepare and manage the annual QA and Sanitation budget, setting aggressive targets.
• Conduct facility audits and report opportunities for quality improvement.
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers to address performance issues and long-term planning.
• Implement continuous quality improvement tools and training across the organization.
• Create comprehensive KPI reports in line with internal and customer requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10+ years of Quality Assurance experience in food manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a management role.
• Extensive experience with USDA and FDA regulations, as well as HACCP, Preventive Controls, and SSOPs.
• GFSI certification experience is highly desirable.
• Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex situations and drive results.
• Proficiency in advanced computer skills and the ability to work in an ambiguous environment.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) skills are a plus.
