IT Test Analyst - POS/Web Tester

4+ month contract

Responsibilities:

Participates in functional and technical design reviews to ensure understanding of relevant business processes, technologies, and architectures.
Creates or modifies test scenarios and test cases that are in alignment with functional requirements.
Ensures appropriate test data is defined and available in the test environment
Executes and statuses test cases, including proof of testing.
Clearly document defects, and retests fixes in a timely manner in required test management tool.
Effectively communication progress and status to test lead/manager.
Deliver quality work to meet the needs of application teams and business partners
Work in a collaborative project environment with cross-functional teams.
Assists in driving issues to closure.
Complete assignments on time in accordance with the priorities identified by the test lead.

Skills/Qualifications:

Retail experience is highly preferred
Experience in functional integration and regression testing on POS systems.
Understanding of POS workflows and integrations.
Experience in website or e-commerce testing particularly focused on order creation and interfacing it downstream.
Understanding of BOPIS (Buy online pick up in store) feature a plus.
Basic knowledge of SQL for backend testing and data validation a plus.
Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile).
Experience working on projects with multiple teams and resources.
Experience working in an onshore/offshore model.
Experience with HP ALM, JIRA, or other test and defect management tools.
