Position Overview

The Project Manager is accountable for all aspects of the aircraft visit, including proper use of manpower, coordination with other management, constant communication with the customer, and guaranteeing compliance with all regulatory guidelines.

Essential Duties

  1. The Project Manager is responsible for safety, quality, on-time delivery, and financial results of assigned projects.
  2. Ensures continuous coordination and communication between the Lead Mechanic and Supervisors to provide efficient productivity and a smooth transition between shifts.
  3. Manage assigned projects in the most effective manner, eliminating waste and improving productivity.
  4. Coordinate with the Planning Department to establish a project schedule, set goals, and establish a budget.

  1. Execute project targets and goals, notifying management of all deviations.
  2. Must be adequately versed in all aspects of their assigned project, reviewing man-hours and overseeing technical and critical paths.
  3. Ensure open communication with the customer daily.
  4. Build and promote positive employee morale, focusing on teamwork, culture,and growth.
  5. Ensure cleanliness and organization for all assigned areas
  6. Ensure facilities, equipment, and tooling are in safe operating condition.
  7. Ensure employees wear and properly use personal protective equipment and work in a safe manner.
  8. Participate in daily staff status briefings.
  9. Verify employees are properly trained to efficiently perform required tasks.

Secondary Duties

  1. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What you need: (Requirements)

Minimum

  1. A&P License required.
  2. 10 years of aircraft maintenance experience with a minimum of 5 years’ of leadership experience
  3. High School diploma or G.E.D.
  4. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to interact with a wide variety of people.
  5. Strong understanding of the Microsoft Office suite and HAECO’s MAJIC system
  6. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Preferred

  1. Bachelor’s degree
  2. Project Management experience with formal project management training or certification

Physical Requirements

  1. Subject to noises in excess of 85 dB.
  2. Normal or corrected vision and hearing.
  3. Normal office environment where approximately eighty (80) percent of work is performed in a sitting position with the remaining time walking and moving around the office/hanger area.
  4. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, stand, and walk for long periods of time. Must also be able to climb steps and lift up to 30 pounds.
  5. Normal mental and visual attention along with manual coordination for keyboard operations.
  6. Frequent exposure to the outside hangar areas for job duties,meetings, and employee relations functions for varying lengths of time.
