SA.136: Assistant Project Manager

Pay Rate: $30 - 40/hr

Department Requesting Resource : Clean Transportation |1510

Initiative: Multiple/cross-program support

Programmatic need being met by this request : Support program and project administrative tasks such as contract entry into CLIENT IT systems, review of RFPs and contracting documents for completeness, coordination between cross-functional administrative teams to support procurements and open solicitations.

Where the work will be performed : Remote, option to visit in NYC/Albany office if desired

Location of Resource : Remote, option to visit in NYC/Albany office if desired

Expected Duration of Engagement (Years) : 3 Years

What skills are needed to be successful in this role?

  • Strong project management skills to be able to handle multiple requests at the same time
  • Oriented and ability to quickly learn internal CLIENT contracting processes and how to use CLIENT Finance/CRM systems
  • Attention to detail, especially with data entry and written documents
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate clearly with other team members
  • Stay organized and follow established procedures across many projects
  • Proficient with the MS Office software suite, SharePoint

Are there any specialized skills that must be present for the position to be successful?

  • Previous experience with or understanding of government procurement/contracting/Request for Proposals a plus
  • Basic project management tools (task and deliverable lists, budgets, charts, etc.)
  • Candidate must have strong technical writing and business correspondence skills (e.g. scopes of work, internal memos and email)
  • Background/experience with Oracle Peoplesoft, Salesforce, and Asana desired but will train
  • Experience in contract development/negotiations desired but not required

Certifications and qualifications, including education/degree

  • Education and experience commensurate with an Associate's degree
