Job Description

Location & Work Arrangement

  • City, State: Columbus, Ohio
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid Requires 3 days in the office per week and 2 days remote.
  • Contract: This is a Contract position.
  • Mode of Interview: Webcam (Teams).

Essential Expertise and Scope of Work

The PM2 will be accountable for project compliance with agency standards, development of detailed project plans, and comprehensive risk mitigation, ensuring success across multiple work efforts.

1. Full Lifecycle Project Management (5+ Years Required)

  • IT PM Experience: 5 years of Project/Program Management experience (Required).
  • Lifecycle Expertise: 5 years' experience with full lifecycle implementation projects from requirements definition through implementation (Required).
  • IT Focus: 5 years of experience managing technical/IT projects (Required).
  • Planning & Execution: Develop detailed program/project plans (scope, budget, resources, tasks, milestones). Accountable for delivery of all planned work tasks.
  • Compliance & Standards: Responsible for project compliance with established agency and project management standards and procedures.

2. Stakeholder, Scope & Risk Management

  • Scope Control: Accountable for management of scope for the program/project; gaining agreement and approval of scope changes with project sponsor and affected stakeholders. Ensure all changes follow established change procedures.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and project sponsors. Communicate effectively to all levels of the organization, from staff to C-level executives (Required).
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage program/project risk and develop risk mitigation strategies , tracking them to closure.
  • Vendor Management: Experience managing vendors and vendor-driven projects (Required). Contract and/or vendor management experience is desired.

3. Reporting, Metrics & Quality

  • Monitoring & Tracking: Monitor project milestones and phases, track progress against the plan, and take corrective actions for schedule slippage.
  • Reporting: Prepare status reports on a weekly basis for all stakeholders.
  • Metrics: Responsible for the capture and reporting of required program/project management metrics. Analyze and distribute reports on metrics associated with work items.
  • Quality Assurance: Accountable to schedule or monitor status reviews, peer reviews, program/project management inspections, and software quality assurance work product and process reviews.
