Job Description/ Summary:

First Brands Group is looking for an experienced & motivated Product Manager, to support all product related activities of our Ignition Products businesses. The Ignition Product Manager will support the Ignition group with key product related activities. These activities will focus on leading and guiding key projects related to NPI, product development, testing, data/design integrity, and competitive insights. This person will be instrumental for our ability to execute the strategic plan for new programs, product offerings, and data development to be industry experts for internal and external customers. They will become experts in the product(s), able to be a technical resource as well as being the face of the First Brands offering to all.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Ongoing Product Line Maintenance / Growth
  • Support ongoing sourcing, insourcing, & VAVE activities & help identify future opportunities
  • Support & oversee testing requirements and approval process New Product Identification process
  • Help identify product extensions & criteria
  • Support engineering activities as needed to launch products
  • Overall research projects and activities
  • Customer Product Support
  • Be the subject matter expert and become a resource both internally and for customers
  • Techline and Social media support
  • Support for internal and external training content creation / Trade Shows
  • Voice of Customer internally to production / supply chain / quality / cataloging teams
  • Interchanges / product costing and pricing (NPI & pricing updates)
  • Data Management
  • Direct and review data inputs from a variety of ERP, market, and outside sources
  • Providing regular and ad-hoc reports on the ignition product line
  • Support & lead ongoing research activities & testing of FBG & competitor products to enhance our knowledge and information used for internal and external customers
  • Brand Building
  • Work hand-in-hand with broader teams to improve and enhance our current & future portfolio of products
  • Research and assess market feedback to drive the right offering and messaging by channel
  • Consumer, technician, and online based experience and usage
  • Provide direction and feedback regarding marketing content, packaging, and publications

Minimum Experience Required:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience within Product Management, Project Management or Strategy.

Preferred Skills:

  • Automotive Aftermarket preferred
  • Experience with SAP, PDM, & Microsoft Suites

  • Experience leading & owning projects from ideation to launch
  • Experience performing competitive & market analysis
  • Critical-thinking and time management skills.
  • Engine or Ignition products in the Automotive Aftermarket preferred
  • Experience with SAP, PDM, & Microsoft Suites.
  • Ability to travel domestic and international up to 15%.
