We are seeking a detail-oriented Prior Authorization Specialist to join a growing healthcare organization near Franklin, Ohio. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring patients receive timely access to prescribed treatments and services by coordinating the insurance prior authorization process.
Prior Authorization – Key Responsibilities:
Submit and track prior authorization requests for medications, infusion therapies, and/or procedures
Review patient insurance benefits and verify coverage requirements
Communicate with insurance companies, providers, and patients to resolve authorization issues
Maintain accurate documentation of all prior authorization activity in the EMR system
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to reduce delays in patient care
Prior Authorization – Qualifications:
At least a year of experience in prior authorization, medical billing, or healthcare insurance required
Strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
