Job Description

Job Title: Principal Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Duration: 4 weeks with possible extension

Travel Requirements: Maybe - two on-site meetings

Specific Job Functions:

• Design VPCs, subnets, firewalls and IAM policies
• Plan for high availability, disaster recovery and performance
• Architect and design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions (Azure) to support the migration of on-premises data center workloads.
• Lead cloud migration strategy , including workload assessment, application dependency mapping, and migration planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, compliance, networking, and application development to ensure seamless migration.
• Develop and maintain cloud governance frameworks , including cost optimization, tagging policies, and resource management.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare industry standards and regulations (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2).
• Create and maintain technical documentation , including architecture diagrams, migration runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Evaluate and recommend cloud-native services to replace legacy systems and improve operational efficiency.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; Master s preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with 3+ years in cloud architecture and migration.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (Azure) and hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, storage, and identity management in cloud contexts.
• Deep knowledge of security and compliance frameworks relevant to healthcare.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
