Job Description

Located in Eden Prairie, MN, we are seeking a hardworking team player who is eager to be part of our production staff as an experienced Press Operator. Duties and Responsibilities

• Reads instructions from the job ticket and sets up or directs setup of press based on instructions.
• Makes job ready by running make ready to check print quality, registration, color, die cutting, perforation and carrier width.
• Makes final prerun inspection of job and runs job. When necessary confers with supervisor for approval. Responsible for quality of print, registration, color, die cutting, perforation and carrier width. Operates or directs operation of printing press to print in accordance with job orders.
• Alert supervisor or scheduling if jobs will exceed allotted time.
• Returns dies and plates in appropriate holder, to specific locations.
• Must be flexible in changing priorities based on scheduling needs.
• Operates or assist on other pressroom equipment and presses if needed and when workload permits.
• Assists in cleaning up and keeping immediate work area neat and orderly.
• Help to maintain proper inventory levels of general necessity items and notify supervisor when low.
• Keeping proper inventory levels by recording accurate bill of materials
• Installs Anilox rollers, plates, inks and dies into proper stations, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality of production.
• Notifies Supervision of needed repairs and replacement parts.
• Ensures that assigned equipment is properly maintained and in safe operating condition.
• Performs other tasks as requested.

Qualifications, Skills, Education Required

• Degree in Printing
• Best candidates would have AT LEAST 10 years*FLEXO PRINTING* related experience with the ability to write and read simple instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions & procedure manuals.
• Must be able to meet and/or pass the minimum requirement on a mechanical test or have demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience.
• Should be able to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Must be able to maintain good attendance and flexible and willing to work overtime, as needed.

Working Hours

• Production positions work 12 hour shifts with hours of 6am-6pm. The schedule consists of working two days, two days off, and every other weekend (Friday – Sunday) for a total of 7 shifts every two weeks.
