Applications are invited for a post-doctoral research associate in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Purdue University in the laboratory of Prof. Casey J. Krusemark. Candidates skilled in one or more of the following areas: biochemistry, enzymology, chemical biology, cell biology, bioconjugate chemistry are encouraged to apply. The position requires a PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, medicinal chemistry, or a related field of study that has equipped the applicant with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform the duties of the position. The two main project areas of interest are implementation of DNA-encoded chemical libraries with live mammalian cells and design/implementation of DNA-based biochemical assays. The responsibilities of a postdoctoral scientist may include enzymatic assays, standard molecular biology techniques, protein purification, mammalian cell culture, DNA sequence analysis, manuscript preparation, and laboratory management.
