Role: Payroll & Benefits Specialist (Temp – Potential for Hire)

Location : Hybrid Schedule| West Hollywood, CA (Hybrid: Mon–Wed in office, Thurs–Fri remote)

Pay Rate : $30/hour

Start Date: ASAP (Interviews this Thursday or Friday for a Monday start)

Join a leading British fashion retailer known for its iconic style and global presence. Our client is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to support their dynamic People & Culture (HR) team across the U.S. and Canada.

This is a great opportunity to work with a globally recognized brand, with the potential to transition into a permanent role by year-end.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for retail stores, distribution centers, and corporate offices across the U.S. and Canada
• Audit payroll data, approve funding processes (net pay, taxes, deductions), and ensure compliance with timekeeping and reporting standards
• Handle payroll-related accounting tasks, including general ledger reconciliation and payroll reporting
• Provide support for employee benefits, life event updates, and claims assistance
• Maintain and audit HRIS data for accuracy in benefits setup, pay rates, accruals, and org structure

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of payroll experience in a multi-state environment (Canadian payroll is a major plus)
• Experience with platforms such as Dayforce, Workday, or Ceridian
• Solid knowledge of payroll tax compliance and benefits administration
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable in a fast-paced, fashion-forward work environment
