Available Schedule Options Choose a consistent schedule that fits your afternoon availability: * 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. * 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. * 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. What We Offer * Competitive pay: $14–$16/hour (based on experience & qualifications) * Affordable health insurance: Medical, dental & vision (as low as $32 per paycheck; 30+ hrs required) * Professional development: * Free Child Development Associate (CDA) program * Paid training to meet annual licensing requirements * SIMPLE IRA with up to 3% company match * Supportive, collaborative school culture where teachers feel valued and appreciated Required Qualifications * High school diploma or GED * CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. to safely support young children * Strong communication skills and a professional, positive attitude * Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently * Empathy, patience, and a genuine love for working with children Preferred: * Prior experience in a licensed child care center * Experience supporting infants, toddlers, or preschool-age children Primary Responsibilities As an Assistant Teacher, you’ll partner with a Lead Teacher to create a warm, safe, and engaging classroom environment. Responsibilities include: * Maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment * Assisting with daily routines, activities, and curriculum implementation * Supporting each child’s social and emotional development * Demonstrating warmth, kindness, and professionalism at all times * Building positive relationships with families * Being dependable, flexible, and a great team player About The Goddard School® of Pflugerville Proudly serving families since 2009, The Goddard School® of Pflugerville is part of a respected national franchise with 600+ schools across 38 states.
