Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Molding Machine Operator / Assembly Line Worker to join our medical device manufacturing team in Salt Lake City, UT. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in injection moulding, machine operation, and assembly line processes, particularly in a cleanroom or regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor injection mold machines and auxiliary equipment to ensure proper function.
  • Set up moulding machines, troubleshoot minor mechanical issues, and perform machine changeovers as required.
  • Inspect molded parts for quality and conformance to specifications using measuring tools and visual checks.
  • Perform repetitive tasks on the assembly line including part assembly, trimming, and packaging.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the workstation in compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and ISO standards.
  • Accurately complete production documentation and maintain logs for traceability.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and deviations in product quality promptly to the supervisor.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance and maintenance teams to ensure production efficiency and safety.
  • Adhere to all safety, cleanroom, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in machine operation, molding, or injection molding, preferably in a medical device or regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom protocols, GMP, and ISO 13485 standards is a plus.
  • Ability to work with small parts and perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail, work ethic, and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience in medical device assembly or molding.
  • Experience operating automated moulding and assembly machines.
  • Knowledge of mold materials and basic quality control practices.
