- MT degree from a US accredited group (American Society for Clincial Pathology ASCP, American Medical Technologists AMT, American Association of Bioanalyst AAB) - 2 years of experience testing for rare blood units and referencing in a lab setting

Job Description
This Medical Technologist will be joining a lab environment for a blood bank in the Nashville, TN area. This individual will be responsible for analyzing patient workups, screens, and testing for rare blood units. This individuals main role is testing for rare blood units and antigens for specific cancer, sickle cell, anemic, and/or trauma patients. This will allow the individual to be constantly learning about new drugs and medications. They will be testing around 200 rare units per month. This differs from a hospital environment as they will not be communicating with doctors or nurses at the hospitals, rather with other MT's in the hospital environment.
