We are currently recruiting for an on-site Medical Coder at a Surgery Center in Rochester, NY! This temp-to-hire position is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and accurately assigning standard medical codes to diagnoses, procedures, and healthcare services.

Job duties include:

• Review and code medical records with accuracy, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, payer policies, and organizational standards.
• Verify documentation, collaborate with clinical staff for clarification, and submit coded data promptly for billing and reimbursement.
• Support audits and compliance reviews, stay current with coding guidelines, and maintain HIPAA confidentiality at all times.

Hours: Full-Time, Monday -Friday, 7:30AM – 4:00PM

Salary: $21-$29/hr depending on experience, with excellent benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), PTO, paid holidays and more!

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree in related field preferred
• 1-2 years of medical coding experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Certification as a CPC or CCS preferred
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT and other coding systems preferred.
