🔧 What You’ll Do (Responsibilities Vary by Level)
Core Responsibilities – All Levels
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems)
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Use CMMS to track work orders and inventory
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime
Advanced Responsibilities – Tier 3 / Lead
- Diagnose and program industrial automation systems (PLC/HMI – Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
- Lead PMs and continuous improvement projects
- Support and train lower-tier technicians
- Maintain documentation for audits, compliance, and quality standards
- Interface with engineering and controls teams on capital projects or upgrades
✅ We’d Love to See (Qualifications)
Required for All Candidates:
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience (manufacturing, food & bev, pharma, pulp & paper, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting skills (electrical/mechanical)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support shift-based work
- Basic computer and CMMS knowledge
Preferred / For Higher-Level Roles:
- 5+ years experience or prior Lead Tech responsibilities
- PLC/HMI troubleshooting or programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Honeywell, etc.)
- Knowledge of vision systems, robotics, AGVs, or SCADA
- Trade certifications: Millwright, Electrician (Red Seal or equivalent), or Instrumentation
- Experience mentoring or leading tech teams
- Familiarity with kaizen, TPM, or lean manufacturing principles
