Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician I to join our operations team at a large-scale logistics and distribution facility. The ideal candidate will provide high-level maintenance support across a variety of equipment and systems, ensuring maximum uptime and equipment reliability. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, preventive maintenance experience, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and repair on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Monitor equipment and address potential issues to avoid production downtime.
Rebuild machine assemblies and ensure proper documentation of all work performed.
Collaborate with operations, engineering, and quality teams to resolve equipment issues.
Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to initiate, track, and complete work orders.
Identify and resolve equipment issues according to standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
Assist with sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives.
Train and support junior technicians as needed.
Follow and enforce company safety and conduct policies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications or associate degree a plus.
Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or industrial setting.
Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic diagrams.
Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Basic understanding of PLC systems (troubleshooting, not necessarily programming).
Proficiency with CMMS tools (e.g., Maximo, Proteus).
Skilled in MS Word and Excel.
Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs (with team or assisted lift), and navigate large facility as needed.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Safety-first attitude and proactive mindset.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with robotics or automated systems
Background in energy management or sustainability projects
Familiarity with 6S, root cause analysis, or lean maintenance practices
