Weekly Pay $22.67/hour CNA at UW Health Rehabilitation Hospital, Madison, WI
- Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients recovering from neurological, orthopedic, and medical conditions in a 49-bed acute rehabilitation hospital.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Support safe patient mobility and ambulation, utilizing assistive equipment as needed.
- Monitor, record, and document vital signs, intake/output, and patient condition in the EPIC EHR system.
- Follow clinical protocols for blood glucose monitoring, feeding tubes, foley catheters, ports, PICC lines, isolation precautions, and wound care.
- Deliver supplemental oxygen and support patients requiring swallowing precautions or thickened liquids.
- Collaborate effectively with registered nurses, therapists, and other team members to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary team and participate in care planning.
- Work 12-hour shifts, with every other weekend required for travel CNAs; no call or float requirements.
- Maintain required certifications and demonstrate experience in acute care (minimum 2 years Med Surg or inpatient rehab).
- Must have EPIC experience and 1 year travel experience
- Trauma II experience preferred
- Exhibit strong communication, teamwork, organizational, and adaptability skills in a dynamic hospital environment.
