Job Description

We are seeking two compassionate and experienced live-in caregivers to provide support for an elderly couple on an alternating weekly schedule. This role requires a rotating one-week-on, one-week-off schedule, with each caregiver working every other week.

Care Needs:

•   Mom: Requires total care, including assistance with transfers, bathing, dressing, and meal preparation and assist.
•   Dad: Primarily requires monitoring, occasional direction, and reminders for meals and other daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform safe gait belt transfers for mom and support her with personal care, including bed baths, dressing, and hygiene.
• Prepare nutritious meals for both parents.
• Provide gentle reminders and companionship for dad, as well as basic supervision.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
• Ensure adherence to any medication schedules.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in home care, including work with dementia patients.
• Strong understanding and skill with gait belt transfers.
• Experience in preparing meals and assisting with personal care.
• Must pass a background check and provide professional references.
• CNA or PCA certification preferred but not required if the candidate has sufficient experience.

Schedule:

• Live-in position with a rotating one-week-on, one-week-off schedule.
