A Litigation Paralegal at Fasig Brooks Law Offices plays a crucial role in supporting clients and attorneys throughout the litigation process with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency. Compensation:

$68,000 - $75,000 yearly

Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys in all aspects of case preparation and litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and legal correspondence.
  • Manage and maintain case files in our firm's CRM (Filevine), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and organization.
  • Support clients by explaining legal processes, answering questions, and providing regular case updates in a compassionate and clear manner.
  • Coordinate with medical providers, experts, and third parties to gather necessary documentation for cases.
  • Track and manage deadlines, including court dates, discovery responses, and statute of limitations.
  • Prepare and file legal documents with courts and agencies.
  • Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, trial binders, and evidence.
  • Provide reassurance and guidance to clients during stressful and emotional situations.

Legal Experience & Knowledge

  • REQUIRED: 2+ years of experience in Florida personal injury litigation. Additional experience in GA is highly valued.
  • Strong understanding of legal procedures, discovery, court systems, and trial preparation.
  • Experience drafting pleadings, discovery, and demand packages.
  • Proficiency with case management systems (e.g., Filevine, Clio, Needles).

Client-Centered Service

  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a clear, compassionate manner.
  • Experience working with clients during stressful and emotional times, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
  • Conflict resolution skills to navigate difficult client conversations and advocate for their needs.

Case & Office Management Skills

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and filings.
  • Familiarity with medical records, insurance claims, and settlement processes.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Technology & Data Management

  • Proficiency with legal technology, including case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Commitment to maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records for reporting and accountability.
  • Adaptability in learning new software and tools for efficiency and compliance.
