We’re looking to hire a Learning Designer and Content Writer for an eCommerce client. This role is a unique blend of instructional design, content creation, and eLearning strategy, aimed at supporting and educating sellers through engaging and effective learning experiences.

You will be responsible for scripting and producing written assets for educational video content, designing comprehensive training materials, conducting learning needs analyses, and maintaining the learning management system (LMS). This position requires a meticulous eye for detail, strong storytelling skills, and a solid foundation in learning design.

This is a project-based opportunity running through April 2026. While the position offers remote flexibility, candidates should reside in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop learning programs, including courses, curricula, and multimedia materials
• Write and edit educational scripts and content for video series, emails, and web-based courses
• Conduct learning needs assessments and translate findings into instructional strategies
• Collaborate with video producers to capture screen visuals and instructional aids
• Maintain and update content within the LMS, ensuring materials are accessible, relevant, and up-to-date
• Use learner feedback and performance data to refine content and enhance engagement
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while working both independently and cross-functionally
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and learning frameworks

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in instructional design, eLearning, or educational content development
• 4+ years of experience in professional copywriting or content creation
• Experience in tech, eCommerce, or SaaS environments
• A portfolio showcasing educational or instructional writing for external audiences
• Strong command of Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience writing help documentation, training materials, and video scripts
• Hands-on knowledge of LMS platforms and CMS tools (e.g., Contentstack, Salesforce)
• Excellent grammar, communication, and editing skills across formal and informal tones
• Familiarity with agile instructional design methodologies
• Experience creating video content using tools like Vyond or similar AI-based platforms
• A passion for educational content, process improvement, and scalable learning solutions
