The Carter lab at the NYU Center for Neural Science is looking for a full-time Junior Laboratory Associate to participate in research projects to study higher-order thalamus and frontal cortex. Responsibilities include animal husbandry, stereotaxic surgeries, fluorescence microscopy, and behavioral experiments using in vivo photometry, electrophysiology, and 2-photon microscopy.
In compliance with NYC?s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $58,656- $60,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer .
Bachelor?s degree in neuroscience or related discipline, previous research experience, good organizational skills, and ability to make a two-year commitment.
