Job Description

McLain & Merritt's General Liability Litigation practice group is looking for an Investigator to join our team full-time. We represent some of the largest retailers in Georgia in premises liability lawsuits and other tort/personal injury litigation.

Responsibilities

The Investigator's responsibilities would include:

• Factual investigation of cases.
• Interviewing witnesses.
• Site visits.
• Evidence collection and analysis.
• Witness/party research.
• Locating and securing attendance of witnesses.
• Reporting to attorneys orally and in writing.
• Working with paralegals.
• Assisting with trial preparation and trial.

Qualifications

• Impeccable people skills.
• Experience with Asset Protection/Loss Prevention is preferred.
• Substantial experience, training, and education with regard to investigation, court, litigation support, case development, and/or law enforcement.
• Flexibility and drive to travel regularly anywhere in the four corners of Georgia (and, rarely but sometimes, beyond) to accomplish the mission. (Overnight stays would be rare.)
• Computer and technology skill and experience.
• Excellent ability to draft reports and documents in support of litigation, including, but not limited to, audio and visual exhibits.

Salary and Benefits
