**Job Summary and Responsibilities** Under the direct supervision of the Investigational Drug Pharmacists, this position is responsible for managing the clinical investigational drug (CID) inventory; providing technical director and assistance with clinical trial protocols; performing drug distribution activities, when required; maintaining information and assisting in the record-keeping related to clinical trials required by the study protocols; maintaining the work areas in a clean and orderly manner; performing workload measurement and productivity support functions; performing cross-functional and other duties and responsibilities consistent with the job classification. Responsibilities Include: + Manage the clinical investigational drug (CID) inventory. + Manages inventory for clinical investigational drug trials, including independently ordering CID (within scope of authority), receiving, organizing and monitoring the use of CID. + Conducts physical counts of CID and resolves any discrepancies. + Monitors expiration dates of CID and returns study materials, as required. + Maintains separate supplies of returned CID from patients for clinical trials that have this requirement. + Performs scheduled QA responsibilities, unit inspections, outdate medication tracking and other assigned duties. + Appropriately handles pharmaceutical waste and segregation. (Stericycle RX waste compliance program/bins) + Maintains logs, records and other required documentation. Files documentation in the appropriate location + Monitors all refrigerators and freezers via Temp Track or log when needed and responds to alerts and alarms appropriately and according to policy. **Job Requirements** Experience Required A minimum of one year hospital pharmacy experience preferred. Education High School Diploma/GED Completion of a Certified Pharmacy Technician Program. Licensure Pharmacy Technician certification and AZ Pharmacy Tech License required. Good communication skills. Ability to work as a team member. Knowledge of drug names and basic math.
