Job Summary:

This HVAC Sr Tech is responsible for maintaining, installing, moving, and repairing specialized equipment, including heating and air conditioning, ventilators, ice machines, and production chillers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain, install, move, troubleshoot, and repair all related HVAC equipment.
• Maintains inventory of filters and refrigerant.
• Responds to heating and cooling problems (repair as necessary)
• Inform the supervisor when repairs need to be made by an outside vendor or when equipment needs to be replaced.
• Performed related duties or projects as assigned.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance.
• Operates all hand tools HVA equipment, electrical tools an electrical measuring instrument.

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e., knowledge, skills, and abilities)

• Must be able to operate troubleshoot and repair the energy management system and the clean room monitoring systems.
• Advanced knowledge of HVAC equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of general maintenance procedures including electrical.
• Advanced knowledge of proper procurement procedures.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
• Must be capable of analyzing machine problems, disassembled machines, and repair as necessary.
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds of or more, work in difficult position, at various heights.

Education/Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with 8 years of work experience in commercial electrical and HVAC work or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have successfully completed formal training programs on HVAC operations. Documentation or certificates would be required.

Travel Requirements

Up to 5%
